This was my 9th season working with the Minnesota Vikings and, simply put, I will remember the 2022 season as one of the funnest seasons I have ever photographed for the team. On paper, the Vikings went 13-4, won the division, and lost in the first round of the playoffs at home, but that doesn’t nearly tell the story of the season. It’s how the Vikings won 13 games that starts to tell the story. The Vikings won 11 games by one score or less and had eight 4th quarter comeback victories. One of those games was literally the greatest comeback victory in NFL history when the Vikings came back from a 33-0 halftime score against the Colts to win 39-36 with a walk-off field goal in overtime. Another one-score victory was against the impressive Buffalo Bills on the road that was called the best NFL game of the 2022 season. Still another wild game was the Vikings winning on a walk-off, team-record, 61-yard field goal by Greg Joseph on Christmas Eve against the New York Giants while the entire stadium was decked out in a winter whiteout theme (refer to the photo above for that moment). That’s not to mention the Vikings hosting and winning a game during prime time on Thanksgiving with celebratory turkey legs and all.

The 2022 season also established a new regime for the Vikings under first-time GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah who hired first-time head coach Kevin O’Connell. They significantly reshaped the culture of the team with supportive positivity. Justin Jefferson also made it clear that he’s WR1 setting an NFL record for the most receiving yards through the first 3 seasons of a career. There are so many good memories that I will carry from this season. The Minnesota Vikings season didn’t end the way we all may have hoped, but they sure gave us an entertaining ride throughout the season! So please take a look at my favorite photos that I shot during the 2022 Minnesota Vikings season.
