After missing the 2020 Minnesota Vikings season due to, what else, the pandemic, it was great to be back for the 2021 season for my 8th season working with the Vikings. This season included 17 total regular season games, which meant one of the preseason games was cut from the schedule. It was kind of strange having a regular season home game into the second week of January, but it was nice to have an additional meaningful game. The season was a very up and down with several highs and lows that disappointingly ended without making the playoffs and Mike Zimmer getting let go as the head coach as a result. On the bright side, there were many sunny day games with that great light inside U.S. Bank Stadium that was sorely missing in 2019. I also got to photograph the amazing Justin Jefferson for the first time and there were not one, but two, walk-off game winning field goals by kicker Greg Joseph! Without further hesitation, here are some of my favorite photos from the 2021 season.
