I realize this is totally late, but after the way the Twins limped out of the playoffs in the first round (again!) it was difficult to muster the motivation to finish working on the pictures from the season. Alas I was finally able to do it, so here it is. By now it’s well known the Twins were swept out of the first round of the playoffs (again) by the New York Yankees (again). Even home field advantage could not help the Twins overcome their Big Apple foe. On the bright side, the weather at Target Field for both of the first two games of the American League Division Series was gorgeous. Not a single cloud in the sky and temperatures were warm enough for short sleeves until the sun went down. It certainly was great to see playoff baseball at Target Field despite the eventual outcome of the games.

Somehow I lucked out and had seats directly behind home plate both playoff games. It was a good view for watching the game, but not a good view for taking a lot of pictures. With it being the playoffs, I was trying to focus more on enjoying the game rather than taking pictures anyway. It did provide for an exciting vantage point to capture the stadium feel when homeruns were hit though.

So despite the disappointing ending to the Twins season, it was great to experience playoff baseball in their new home, Target Field. Hopefully it’s the first of many more appearances in the playoffs. Here are the links to the galleries of images from Game 1 and Game 2.
